2nd Model RLB EM Dagger by WKC

A M38 - 2.Modell Reichsluftschutzbund (RLB) Dolch für Unterführer by WKC - Weyersberg, Kirschbaum & Cie. of Solingen. The blade on this one is wonderful! The acid etched knights head “W.K.C. Waffenfabrik Solingen” maker mark is dark, crisp and beautifully executed. The crossgrain is stunning as you shine it in the light, being visible all the way from the hilt to tip. The tip comes to a perfect point and the fit is nice and tight. The blade on this one rates NM. The original blacked buffer pad remains intact. The steel based black enamel painted scabbard is in excellent condition. It shows spidering throughout yet retains 98% paint coverage and remains dent free. The plated scabbard fitting and throat both look great. The original throat retaining screw remains intact. The unique RLB eagle crossguard looks awesome. The plated pommel is in excellent condition as well. The pommel looks a bit crooked. Both hold 99% plating coverage. The black aniline died grip is in wonderful condition! You just don’t see them like this anymore. No flakes, cracks or chips! The pined on 2nd Model RLB emblem looks good. It retains 80% of its enamel, which is better than most! An excellent RLB with some great features!
