Early Aluminium Army Belt Buckle by F.K.O.

Here's a nice aluminium, single piece, army belt buckle. The obverse depicts an embossed closed winged eagle griping a swastika in its talons. The eagle is above a half oak leaf and acorn wreath and underneath: "GOTT MIT UNS" (God with us). The wreath and motto are in front of a decorative line type pattern which is all encircled by two twisted ropes. The prongs and catch remain in excellent condition! The buckle is marked "F.K.O." (Freidrich Kellar Oberstein). The buckle retains good pebbling with wear to the high areas and top edge. A great buckle direct from Vet's family awaiting your collection!
