Early Gusthof Haker SA

Please note this item is no longer available and you were redirected to our Archives.

An early model 1933 Sturmabteilung Dienstdolch by Gusthof Haker of Solingen. The blade on this one is a bright example that has been cleaned along the way, just traces of crossgrain remains. The motto still has frosting to the letters. The tip is perfect. Blade rates an Exc+. Scabbard body has a pin-prick type dent to the lower obverse 2" north of the lower fitting. The anodizing is retained at 99% with 20% of the factory lacquer retained. The nickel silver fittings show period wear with small bumps and the ball has taken a few hits and banged in. The fits are good and the screws are all intact and unturned. Dark hardwood handle shows wear and one flake out of the lower right obverse corner and a microscopic airline running up from the roudel. Eagle is perfect and roundel retains 100% of enamel. The crossguard is gau stamped "Ha". Blade is perfectly set into the crossguard. A good buy here.
