Early SA Dagger by Carl Heidelberg

Please note this item is no longer available and you were redirected to our Archives.

An Early Model 1933 Sturmabteilung Dienstdolch by Carl Heidelberg of Solingen. Here's a fine looking example! The bright blade on this one looks good! The acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and "Carl Heidelberg Solingen" maker mark are nicely executed! It has been cleaned hard at some point resulting in the blade being on the shiny side. There are some dots of age and a little wave towards the tip where it's been bent like 1 degree. The blade rates an Exc. The brown anodized dent-free scabbard has wear to the finish and suffers some surface oxidation. The scabbard continues to retain all four screws. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect! The reverse of the lower crossguard is Gruppe marked "Sa", (Sachsen). The crossguards and scabbard fittings match in color and wear! The ball is perfect. The multi-toned brown hardwood grip looks great! It shows the common pressure marks/scratches throughout and a 1mm hairline above the roundel. No flakes or splits! The solid nickel eagle retains beautiful details and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel also has a perfect fit and retains 99% of its enamel!
