Early SA Dagger by Carl Heidelberg

Please note this item is no longer available and you were redirected to our Archives.

Early Model 1933 Sturmabteilung Dienstdolch by Carl Heidelberg of Solingen. The blade on this one is tired. The acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and "Carl Heidelberg Solingen" maker mark are still clear, it has been retipped by 3 mm. There's lots of age and stain. The dent-free scabbard has surface oxidizing and all the fittings are correctly nickel. The ball is a bit banged up yet still retainings it's correct shape. All four screws remain. The scabbard / crossguard fit less than perfect. The reverse of the lower crossguard is marked "Wf". The crossguards and scabbard fittings match in color and wear! The mottled brown hardwood grip looks good! It shows the common pressure marks/scratches/hairlines and there's a flake to the upper obverse above the roundel. The solid nickel eagle is pushed out some. perhaps repacked at some point, NOT by me. The SA roundel also has a perfect fit and retains 95% of its enamel!
