Another one from huge collection that we recently got in! The bright blade on this one looks good! The acid etched "Alles für Deutschland" motto and "Gebr. Heller" maker mark are both nicely executed! The crossgrain can be seen in the light. The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a sharp point! This blade rates Exc+/Exc++. It has been cleaned and shows the commonly seen surface scratches throughout. The steel based, brown anodized scabbard looks beautiful! It shows evidence of period wear yet, it continues to remain completely dent free and retains 50% of its original factory lacquer! Very nice! The solid nickel scabbard fittings look excellent matching the crossguards perfectly. The ball is crushed and all four screws remain tightly intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The reverse of the lower crossguard is marked "Th" (Thuringen). The brown hardwood grip looks good. It shows evidence of period wear with no chips or cracks it has a nice brown finish to it. The solid nickel eagle retains beautiful details and has puched out a bit. The SA roundel has a perfect fit and retains 99%+ of its enamel. One that would fit quite nicely into your collection?!
