Wow what a beautiful 2nd Model Luftwaffe by Paul Weyersberg! The more desirable plated blade on this one looks wonderful! It has a beautifully executed, dark, acid etched "Paul Weyersberg Solingen" maker mark, with a perfectly stamped proof mark just above it! It has a perfect tip and perfect fit. The plating is wonderful, giving it a mirror like finish! The blade on this one rates a solid Exc++ with just a few spots a couple inches north of the tip I have not tried to clean. The original blue pebbled leather buffer pad remains intact. The plated scabbard looks great! It depicts awesome details throughout, with the random pebbling, oak leaves and acorns. It remains completely dent free and the two headless throat retaining screws remain intact! The burnished aluminium eagle crossguard, steel ferrule and aluminium pommel all look awesome! The eagle has amazing detail to its head, feathers, wings and top side oak leaves and acorns. The pommel is beautifully hand enhanced and has those proud gold gilded swastika's that is so desirable among collectors! 99% of the gold gilding remains intact! Just beautiful! The early trylon grip has aged to a bright yellow over time. The grip has a couple wee hairlines. The early springy wire wrap remains tightly intact. This is an excellent example that would be a prized piece among your collection!
