A M1938 - 2nd Model Kriegsmarine Dolch by WKC (Weyersberg, Kirschbaum & Cie.) of Solingen. The acid etched fouled anchor blade on this one looks good. The etching displays nicely detailed panels. The stamped knights head “WKC Solingen” maker mark is beautifully executed. The tip comes to a perfect point and the fit is nice and tight! The blade on this one rates Exc+. It shows heavy age grey/spotting throughout. The original red felt buffer pad remains intact. The lightning bolt style scabbard is brass based and gold gilded. It depicts wonderful details especially with the hand enhancing towards the tip. It remains dent free. Both throat retaining screws remain intact. The push button continues to work well and tightly secures the scabbard to the hilt. The crossguard and pommel are brass based and gold gilded. The proudly perched kriegsmarine eagle pommel are beautifully detailed! The push button continues to work well. The grip is wood based and covered in white celluloid. It is in excellent condition, the odd spot but no cracks or chip. The dual brass wire wrap remains tightly intact. A nice veteran find!
