This RLB is one of, if not the nicest RLB I’ve owned to date. A M38 - 2.Modell Reichsluftschutzbund (RLB) Dolch für Führer by Paul Weyersberg of Solingen. The blade on this one is wonderful! The acid etched “Paul Weyersberg Solingen” maker mark is dark, crisp and beautifully executed. The crossgrain is stunning as you shine it in the light, being visible all the way from the hilt to tip. The tip comes to a perfect point and the fit is nice and tight. The blade on this one rates an easy NM/Mint-. It has one smudge mark to the reverse. The original blue pebbled leather buffer pad remains intact. The steel based blue pebbled leather covered scabbard is in wonderful condition. It shows the odd pressure mark yet holds a near perfect seam and 99% coverage! The solid nickel silver scabbard fitting all look great, with wonderful patina that time can create! The original screws remain intact. The unique RLB eagle crossguard looks awesome! The pommel is in excellent condition as well. All matching patina. The wood based, leather covered grip is in excellent condition as well! It shows only minor scuffs and a near perfect seam. The 2nd Model RLB emblem looks wonderful 98% of its enamel remains intact.
