An Early Model 1933 NSKK Dagger (Nationalsozialistisches Kraftfahrkorps Dienstdolch) by Max Weyersberg of Solingen. The blade on this one looks great. The acid etched “Alles für Deutschland” motto and “Max Weyersberg Solingen” maker mark are both dark, crisp and beautifully executed! The crossgrain is easily visible all the way from the hilt to the tip. The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point! This blade rates a Exc++. It shows the commonly seen age grey/spotting and surface scratches throughout. The steel based, black painted scabbard looks great as well. It continues to remain completely dent free! It retains 90% paint coverage. Some of the paint overlaps the top scabbard fitting. The solid nickel scabbard fittings look excellent! The ball has a bruise yet retains a nice round shape. All four scabbard screws remain tightly intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The reverse of the lower crossguard is marked “Ho” (Hochland), to the far right. The brown hardwood grip looks great! It shows some pressure marks throughout and a crack just above the roundel. The solid nickel eagle retains beautiful details and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel has nice patina, a perfect fit and retains 99%+ of its enamel. Nice matching patina. A solid example!
