An Early Model 1933 Hitlerjugend Fahrtenmesser by Anton Wingen Jr. of Solingen. The blade on this one looks great. The acid etched “Blut und Ehre!” motto, “Anton Wingen Jr. Solingen” Knight maker mark and “Ges. Geschutzt” patent mark are all beautifully executed! The fit continues to remain nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point. The blade rates an Exc++/NM. It shows surface scratches and age grey/spotting throughout along. The buffer pad is replacement. The steel based black enamel painted scabbard is beautiful. The paint remains 99% intact and it continues to remain completely dent free. The brown leather is in wonderful shape with only minor cracking near the snap portion. It is lightly LFS marked. The snap continues to work well. The black checkered grip plates are in near perfect condition. They are tightly secured to the hilt with two solid nickel-silver rivets. The HJ diamond retains 99%+ of its enamel. A great looing early mottoed one!
