Hitler-Jugend Koppelschloß by M5/276 - Klein & Quenzer AG. of Oberstein a. d. Nahe. Introduced in 1936. It is constructed out of an injection molded zinc-alloy base that has been silver washed. The obverse roundel depicts a closed winged HJ eagle clutching an HJ diamond within its talons on a pebbled round background. Above the eagle is the Hitler Youth motto reading: “Blut und Ehre” (Blood and Honor). This is then encircled by detailed lines which are enclosed by two twisted ropes and all lies on the smooth rectangular background. The reverse is maker marked “RZM M5/276. It features an integral catch and steel pin/post sleeve and prongs. It retains 50% of its silver wash. The details to the eagle, motto and roundel are great! The buckle measures 2 7/16 inch wide by 1 7/8 inches high. A nice one!
