A truly beautiful, blued, lacquered and rare RAD leader. You just don’t see them like this anymore…. A Model 1937 Reichsarbeitsdienst Führer Haumesser by Carl Schmidt Sohne A.-G. of Solingen. The blade on this one looks good. The acid etched “Arbeit adelt” motto and “Carl Schmidt Sohne A.-G. Solingen” maker mark both look great. The blade rates an Exc++. It shows age grey throughout. The steel based, silver plated blued paneled and heavily lacquered scabbard looks awesome! It matches the zinc based hilt wonderfully. If you look at the silvering under the lacquer you can see that these have been together forever… Now you have to display this one under the light to see the bluing like you do in the photos. In a dull light you cant see how beautiful this thing really is. It has the slightest bubbling to the hilt. The grip plates are perfect. The burnishing, eagle head and RAD emblem are stunning. This is an incredibly rare and unique RAD Leader Dagger. One for the experienced collector.
