Seitengewehr/Hirschfänger für Forstbeamte der Luftwaffe by Chromolit Arthur Wingen or Solingen and distributed by Waffen-Loesche of Berlin. The fullered clip point blade on this one looks great. It is nicely maker marked “Ch. A.W.”, numbered “235”, distributor marked “Waffen-Loesche Berlin” and inspection marked “H” to the spine. The crossgrain looks great against the light! The tip comes to a perfect point and the fit is nice and tight. The blade rates Exc++/NM. It shows surface scratches and age grey throughout. The scabbard is steel based and black enamel painted. It continues to remain dent free. It retains 50% paint coverage. The frog lug and screw remain intact. It is numbered “235” which correctly matches the blade. The crossguard is tightly secured. The dual multitoned stag plates are in gorgeous condition! They are tightly secured with three screws. This one comes complete with a brown frog and portepee. A rare piece in need of a good home!
