Fahrzeugfabriken Ansbach und Nürnberg AG (FAUN) was a German Vehicle manufacturer. This came in from the veterans family as part of a group. They were formed in 1919 by merging the "Fahrzeugfabriken Ansbach AG" brand with "Nümberger Feuerlöschgeräte-, Automobillastwagen- und Fahrzeugfabrik.". FAUN produced heavy duty trucks for the German forces to transport armored vehicles, such as tanks, and other large military goods. This pin is constructed out of die struck alloy base. The shield shaped obverse consists of black, blue and white enamel paint and depicts a large blue "F" with a black shield outlining it and a black "FAUN" above the shield. To the top is a black and white design. This is the logo that was on the front radiator of all the trucks. The reverse features a well working nickle-silver pin and circle assembly that has been pressed on. It measures 27/32 inch tall and wide. An interesting piece!
