A Model 1933 Hitlerjugend Fahrtenmesser by RZM M7/103 - Josef Hack of GmbH. The blade on this one looks great! The acid etched “RZM M7/103” maker mark is dark, crisp and beautifully executed! It has a perfect tip. The crossgrain is stunning in the light. The blade rates an easy Exc++/NM. It shows surface scratches throughout and the typical runner marks. The original black leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The steel based, black enamel painted scabbard looks good. There is typical spidering and the paint is 98%+ intact. There are pressure marks to both sides. The folded over blackened leather strap retains all of its rivets and the snap continues to work well! The leather is in great condition! The hilt is constructed out of a zinc alloy base that has been nickel-silver plated. The plating remains in excellent condition, being 97%+ intact. The two black checkered, bakelite grip plates are tightly secured to the hilt by two nickel-silver rivets. To the center obverse of the grip has a beautiful HJ diamond with 99%+ enamel remaining! An excellent and rare maker marked piece!
