An Early Model 1933 Sturmabteilung Dienstdolch by Hch. Krom of Muchen. This one rates 10 out of 10 for rarity on McSaar's SA rarity ratting. The blade on this one looks good! The acid etched “Alles für Deutschland” motto and “Hch. Krom of Muchen” maker mark are both dark, crisp and beautifully executed! The crossgrain is looks great as you shine it in the light. The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point! This blade rates a Exc. It shows some age spotting are areas of gray throughout. The steel based brown anodized scabbard looks. The scabbard body shows minor oxidization spotting to the obverse and some small bumps. The solid nickel scabbard fittings show age and small hits. The ball is banged in. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The reverse of the lower crossguard is marked “HO” (Hochland), correctly stamped way over to the right as it should be. All of the fitting show nice matching patina. The brown hardwood grip shows small hits and pressure marks. The solid nickel shows wear to the high areas. The SA roundel has nice patina, a perfect fit and retains 99%+ of its enamel. Included is it's original hanger. A rare example from the Vet's family!
