Here's a very reasonably priced early dagger just rescued from the Vet's family! The blade has been cleaned/polished hard as the guy tried to clean it up. It is heavily pitted throughout. Fortunately the etch remains deep and dark. The blade rates an VG/Exc. The scabbard is a mid period example with steel fittings. They are patinaed matching the hilt. There is some age crazing to the original paint. The vet must have pulled the fittings off the scabbard at some point cause they the screws are all missing and they seem to be glued back in. If you really care you could get some screws and retap and replace them. The handle has wonderful stag grips that are in perfect condition!
