A KWHW ‘Day of the Wehrmacht' NSKOV Tinnie 1941/42. This Heroic Emblem (Heroische Emblem - Schwert vor Hakenkreuz im runden Eichenlaubkranz) was a part of the KWKW (kriegswinterhilfswerk) in the "Tag Der Wehrmacht" series during March 28th and 29th 1941/42, and was carried out by the Wehrmacht for the NSKOV, NSRKB, DRK and RTB. It is constructed out of a die struck zinc-alloy base that has been silver washed. The obverse depicts a centrally placed broad sword in front of a mobile swastika and Iron Cross that has an oak leaf coming out of its corners. The reverse shows a full back with a pin. Nice detail remains! It measures approximately 15/16 of an inch wide by 1 3/8 inches tall. An inexpensive addition to your collection!
