A Very Rare - Model 1933 Schutzstaffel Dienstdolch by Ed. Gembruch of Solingen. The blade on this one looks wonderful! The acid etched “Meine Ehre Heißt Treue” motto and “Ed. Gembruch Solingen” maker mark are both dark, crisp and beautifully executed! They truly provide a wonderful contrast to the bright blade! The full crossgrain is stunning as you shine it in the light! The blade is nicely seated up against the hilt and the and the tip comes to a perfect point. The blade rates Exc++/NM. It shows some age grey/spotting, runner marks and surface scratches thoughout. The steel based black anodized scabbard looks wonderful! It continues to remain completely dent free and hold 80% of its original factory lacquer! The nickel-silver crossguards look excellent. All four scabbard screws remain intact and the ball retains a nice round profile. The scabbard to crossguard fit is perfect. The black died hardwood grip is in great condition. There are a few flake chips where the grip meets the crossguards. The solid nickel-silver eagle is wonderfully detailed and has a perfect fit. The SS roundel retains 99%+ of its enamel and has a perfect fit! The grip fits are poor. A wonderful piece I am pleased to offer!
