Please note this item is no longer available and you were redirected to our Archives.

An Early Model 1933 SA by Hermann Hahn of Solingen-Wald. This one rates 10 out of 10 for rarity on McSaar's SA rarity ratting! The blade on this one is a beauty! The acid etched “Alles für Deutschland” motto and “HH Hermann Hahn Sol.-Wald” maker mark are both dark, crisp and beautifully executed! The crossgrain is easily visible all the way from the hilt to the tip. The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point! This blade rates a solid NM. It shows the commonly seen age spotting and surface scratches throughout. The steel based, brown annodized scabbard looks nice as well! It continues to remain completely dent free! It retains 95% coverage with only minor loss to oxidizing. The solid nickel scabbard fittings look excellent! The ball retains a nice round shape. All four scabbard screws remain tightly intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The reverse of the lower crossguard is marked “Nm” (Nordmark). The brown hardwood grip looks great! It is personalized reading “W.H.” to the reverse. The grip shows several pressure marks throughout but no cracks! The solid nickel eagle retains beautiful details and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel has nice patina, a perfect fit and retains 99%+ of its enamel. All the patina matches! A quality rare example!
