The plated blade on this one has a few dots of age and evidence it's been cleaned. The obverse clearly displays a stamped "Horster" maker mark. The tip comes to a perfectly sharp point and the fit is solid! The leather buffer pad is lost to time. The dent-free steel based black enamel painted scabbard is in nice shape with honest wear to the side from honest period wear. It shows minor oxidization spotting yet continues to hold 75% paint coverage. The original throat retaining screw remains intact and the ball is perfectly round. The nickel-silver plated steel hilt looks great! It shows minor wear yet holds 95%+ plating coverage! The black checkered bakelite grip plates show wear but no cracks or chips. They are tightly secured to the hilt with two steel rivets. The button continues to work well!
