Early NSKK by Giesen & Forsthoff

Please note this item is no longer available and you were redirected to our Archives.

Here we have an early Model 1933 NSKK Dagger (Nationalsozialistisches Kraftfahrkorps Dienstdolch) by Giessen & Forsthoff of Solingen. The bright blade on this one has been cleaned. The acid etched "Alles für Deutschland" motto and maker mark are both deeply executed! The fit remains nice and tight! It shows evidence that it has been cleaned as most of the crossgrain is polished out. There are a few "nail catchers" to the edge. The scabbard is steel based and black posy-war repainted. It has several wee hits. It retains 99%+ paint coverage. The scabbard fittings are solid nickel-silver. The ball is pushed in a bit to the very bottom. All four scabbard screws remain tightly intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is snug and closes with a snap! The reverse of the lower crossguard is stamped "Ns" (Niedersachsen). The brown hardwood grip shows nice graining and tones. Someone has sanded down the corners where they meed the guards. Likely there were some flakes there at some point. There are some hairlines to the top. There are wee normal bumps from period use. The solid nickel eagle is beautifully detailed and has a near perfect fit. The SA roundel has a perfect fit and retains 99%+ of its enamel.
