Early RZM M7/29 SS Dagger with !

Here's a rare early Model 1933 SS Dagger (Schutzstaffel Dienstdolch) by Jacobs & Co. These are greatly prized among the collecting community! The bright blade on this one looks good. The acid etched "RZM M7/29" maker mark and "Meine Ehre heisst Treue!" (with the exclamation point "!") motto are both beautifully executed! The tip comes to a perfect point and the blade/crossguard fit is perfect. The blade rates Exc+. I believe it has been cleaned at some point in its life as the crossgraining is polished out. There is some surface scratching throughout. The black repainted scabbard looks great! It continues to retain 98% of its paint and remains completely dent free! There are scratches to the reverse. The solid nickel scabbard fittings look excellent. This is exactly how these things were issued, painted scabbards with nickel fittings. All four screws remain intact! The ball is banged in. The scabbard/crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The solid nickel crossguards look great, matching the scabbard fitting in color and wear! See how they are sort of a "brassy" color? This indicates a high copper content, some thing we see in these. The black hardwood grip looks excellent! It has the common pressure mark and someone used the reverse upper as a hammer at some point. No chips or cracks. It is honestly better than most. As you know finding a flawless SS grip is really hard to come by. The solid nickel eagle is beautifully detailed with a perfect fit. The SS roundel retains 100% of its enamel, has a nice bright shine as it sits perfectly in the grip. Included is an original 2 piece short hanger with the early "long snout" nickel hardware. There is some talk about these pieces being attributed to a special SS unit or for presentation, although nothing is for sure. A rare, prized piece right in front of you, don't miss your chance!
