A Bronze Infanterie-Sturmabzeichen Mitgliednadel. The stickpin lapel variation would be privately purchased for everyday wear. The Bronze Infantry Assault Badge was awarded to Motorized/Mechanized Infantry troops who had taken part in combat action on different days and met the required award criteria. It is constructed out of a die struck zinc-alloy base that has been bronze washed. The oval shaped obverse depicts a rifle and bayonet below a Heer closed winged eagle clutching a mobile swastika within its talons. This is all surrounded by an acorn and oak leaf wreath that is tied together at the bottom. The full back reverse shows a soldered on tombak knurled round wire pin. The face measures ½ inch wide by 5/8’s tall.
