Roughly 16mm diameter, die struck alloy lapel pin with a silver wash and black, red and white enamel work. The pin features a silver washed circular outer border with black enamel Gothic script, "Deutsches Rotes Kreuz", encompassing a white enamel inner field with a central Greek style red enamel cross. The reverse of the pin has embossed script, "Ges. gesch"., indicating, Gesetzlich Geschützt, (Protected by Law). The reverse also has its soldered pin back device intact.
