A Model 1933 SS Dagger (Schutzstaffel Dienstdolch) unknown maker, SS Contract Number RZM 121/34 SS.The blade on this one looks awesome! It has been cleaned and retains absolutely wonderful crossgraining, which runs the full length of the blade! The "Meine Ehre Heisst Treue" motto and "SS 121/34 RZM" maker mark are both: crisp and beautifully executed! With a nice fit, this blade rates Exc++. The hilt/scabbard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The black dent-free anodized scabbard shows evidence of cleaning throughout along with some wear and minor oxidation. This features solid nickel fittings. The fittings look great and have nicely patinaed over time. The ball has a hit, but not too bad. All four screws remain intact! The solid nickel crossguards also look great, matching the scabbard fittings in wear and patina. The grip is perfect as are the fits. The solid nickel eagle is beautifully detailed and has a good fit. The SS runes look excellent with 100% enamel and a perfect fit! No chips, no cracks no nothin!! This piece also comes with an early RZM Assmann marked vertical hanger and loop. No I will not remove it as this only risks damage. Regardless it's original and in nice shape. This is a nice dagger.
