Beautiful and Rare - SA Dagger by H. Schneider

I absolutely love this piece…. A very rare and minty - Early Model 1933 Sturmabteilung Dienstdolch by Hermann Schneider of Solingen-Aufderhöhe. This one rates 10 out of 10 for rarity on McSaars SA rarity rating list. The blade on this one is in wonderful condition. The acid etched “Alles für Deutschland” motto and sailing “Schneider” ship “Hermann Schneider Solingen-Aufderhöhe” maker mark are both dark, crisp and beautifully executed. The crossgrain is easily visible all the way from the hilt to the tip. The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point! This blade rates Mint-. It only shows the odd spot and the common surface scratches/runner marks. The steel based brown anodized scabbard looks excellent. Check out the original factory lacquer on this one, 95%+ intact! A beautiful brown finish remains. Minor surface scratches and one wee spot of oxidization. The solid nickel scabbard fittings look excellent matching the crossguards in color and patina! The ball remains perfectly round all four scabbard screws remain tightly intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The reverse of the lower crossguard is marked “Ns” (Niedersachsen). The light brown hardwood grip looks excellent! It only shows the common pressure marks throughout. There is the slightest “T.” personalization, to the bottom reverse in the wood but you have to turn it just right in the light to see it. It has two minor hairline cracks just above the roundel. No chips or flakes. The solid nickel eagle retains beautiful details and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel has a perfect fit and retains 99%+ of its enamel. All of the fits and patina are perfect! I highlighted the worst of it in the description and I am sure this piece competes for the nicest on the market!
