A Rare Early Model 1933 NSKK Dagger (Nationalsozialistisches Kraftfahrkorps Dienstdolch) by C. Schlieper of Solingen. This one rates 10 out of 10 for rarity on McSaar's SA rarity rating! The blade on this one is good. The acid etched “Alles für Deutschland” motto and “C. Schlieper Solingen” maker mark are both dark, crisp and nicely executed! The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point. This blade rates a solid Exc++. It shows evidence it's been clean as much of the crossgrain is gone. The steel based period repainted black dent-free scabbard looks good. The solid nickel scabbard fittings look good. The ball has a tiny bump to the bottom but you will have to go looking to find it. All four scabbard screws remain tightly intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect. The reverse of the lower crossguard is marked “S” (Schlesien). The dark brown hardwood grip has a few common bumps and bruises. The solid nickel eagle retains beautiful details and has a good fit. The SA roundel has a perfect fit and retains 99%+ of its enamel. Included is it's original hanger, note they got some black paint on the hardware when they repainted this, you can scrape it off but I like it. Evidence this has always been there. A rare maker mark on this one!
