Early NSKK Dagger by Tiegelwerk

Here we have a rare, (10 on The McSaar) early Model 1933 NSKK Dagger (Nationalsozialistisches Kraftfahrkorps Dienstdolch) by Tiegelwerk of Breslau. The blade on this has been cleaned and it looks looks great! The acid etched "Alles für Deutschland" motto and maker mark are both dark crisp and beautifully executed! The crossgrain looks to be "zipped", meaning someone gave it a quick rub with a wheel, it runs the full length of the blade! The fit remains nice and tight and it measures a full 221mm! The blade rates an easy Exc+. The steel based black enamel period repainted scabbard is looks great. It retains 98%+ paint coverage with some chipps. I want to say it's dent-free but you can feel some impressions to the lower reverse. If you go out into the sun and turn the scabbard just so you can see light marks there. The solid nickel scabbard fittings look great as well. There some wear marks. The ball retains a nice and round shape and there is a tine flatto one side you will have to go looking to find. Four screws are intact. The scabbard to crossguard fit is near perfect and closes with a snap! The reverse of the lower crossguard is stamped "s" (Schlesien) . The brown hardwood grip is in decent shape. It has a few flakes along with the commonly seen pressure marks throughout. Looks like someone tried to put some wood putty to the upper obverse crossguard fit. The solid nickel eagle has nice detail and a lousy fit. Not sure why as it is quite correct solid nickle. The SA roundel retains 100% of its enamel and also has a good fit! A nice looking piece!
