A transitional model 1933 NSKK Dagger (Nationalsozialistisches Kraftfahrkorps Dienstdolch) by Anton Wingen of Solingen. The acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and "RZM M7/51 1938" maker mark with the traditional Wingen knight are both crisply executed! The fit is nice and tight and the tip comes to a sharp point! traces of crossgrain remain visible. The blade rates Exc. It has fingerprint stains and MAY clean brighter, all I've done is wipe off the surface dirt that was on it when it came in. The black undented scabbard paint is near perfect, with a single chip. The nickel plated steel based fittings are bright and clean, the lower has a "kiss" to the very bottom you will have to go looking for. All four screws remain intact! The nickel plated zinc based crossguards have plating loss / spotting. The brown hardwood grip has a tiny flake to the lower reverse left corner. It also has wee hits like someone hit the grip against a nail? I say that and there are no cracks. The nickel eagle is beautifully detailed with a perfect fit. The SA roundel also has a perfect fit and retains 100% of its enamel. Included is a black RZM marked SS/NSKK hanger. Nope not perfect but exactly as it arrived and untouched.
