2nd Model Luftwaffe Dagger

Here we have a M1937 2nd Model Luftwaffe Dagger (Fliegerdolch) likely purchased through a uniform shop. The unmarked blade on this one is very nice. It has a good fit and sharp tip. The blade rates an NM. The brown leather buffer pad remains intact. The WKC scabbard is steel based with an airplane grey finish. It remains in excellent condition! The scabbard depicts awesome details throughout, with the random pebbling, oak leaves and acorns. It remains completely dent free and the single screw remains intact. The WKC aluminum based Luftwaffe eagle crossguard has amazing detail to its head, feathers, wings and top side embossed oak leaves and acorns. The WKC aluminum pommel and steel ferrule look awesome as well with those proud oak leaves and acorns. The early chip and crack-free trylon grip has aged to a nice warm orange over time. The early double twist brass wire wrap is tightly secured and looks great! Nicely completing this is a worn and frayed original portepee. A great looking piece to add to your collection!
