Personalized - Early Model 1933 Nationalsozialistisches Kraftfahrkorps Dienstdolch by Gebr. Krumm of Solingen. McSaars SA rarity list rates this one as a 7 but IMO its much rarer as it’s the only one we’ve seen or owned. The blade on this one is in good condition. The acid etched “Alles für Deutschland” motto and “GK Gebr. Krumm Solingen” maker mark are both dark, crisp and beautifully executed. Nice crossgraing remains. The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point! This blade rates Exc+. The edges show evidence of scratches and sharpening that were tough to photograph and easier to see in hand. It also shows age grey throughout. The steel based black painted scabbard looks good. There is one wee pressure mark to the obverse. 70% of the painted finish remains intact. Minor scratches to the base metal. The solid nickel scabbard fittings look excellent matching the crossguards in color and patina! The throat is personalized reading “T.H.” and matching the scratches in grip: “T. Henning” perhaps some research could go into this one. The ball has a few bumps yet holds a nice round shape. Four scabbard screws are intact, one is a replacement. The ring is also a replacement. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The reverse of the lower crossguard is marked “S” (Schlesien). The brown hardwood grip looks excellent! It only shows one pressure mark beside the eagle. No chips, cracks or flakes. The solid nickel eagle retains beautiful details and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel has a perfect fit and retains 99%+ of its enamel. All of the fits and patina are perfect!
