A Model 1935 - Wehrmacht Heer Dolch by Alcoso of Solingen. The blade on this one has a sharp tip with a bit of a "wave" where it may have been bent and later straightened again. The large "Siegfried Ernst Pack & Sohn M.B.H Waffenfabrik Solingen Waffen" maker mark is nicely executed to the obverse. Now I know someone will tell me it's on backwards. No! these were made this way and that's why the mark is so far down the blade. The blade rates an Exc/Exc+. The blade on this one shows some staining and appears to have been cleaned. The original leather buffer pad remains intact. The steel based, silver plated scabbard provides wonderful detail throughout, with the random pebbling and oak leaf and acorn bands. The scabbard continues to retain its original throat retaining screws and it remains completely dent free! The aluminum crossguard provides beautiful details throughout the eagle's head, wings, wreath and chest. The aluminum pommel and ferrule are also beautifully detailed with hand enhancing and the proud oak leaves and acorns. The orange trylon grip looks beautiful being one tone darker to the obverse. There is the slightest hairline to the side. A good piece at a good price!
