A Model 1933 Schutzstaffel Dienstdolch by RZM M7/91 RZM 1221/39 SS by Karl Spitzer of Malsch. The blade on this one is absolutely gorgeous! The acid etched “Meine Ehre Heißt Treue” motto and “RZM M7/91 RZM 1221/39 SS” maker mark are both crisp and beautifully executed! The crossgrain is easily visible as you shine it in the light. The blade to crossguard fit is perfect, as is the tip. The blade rates an easy Mint- The steel based black enamel painted scabbard looks great. It retains 98% of its paint coverage and remains completely dent free. It shows minor scratches and age spidering. The scalloped steel based nickel-silver plated scabbard fittings look great! The ball retains a perfectly round shape and all four scabbard screws remain intact. The scabbard to crossguard fit is good and it closes with a snap! The zinc-alloy based, nickel-silver plated crossguards show some plating loss like an over enthusiastic collectore cleaned them too hard. The grip looks to have been professionally restored. Likely had some chipping which it quite common on these. The aluminum based eagle, which is wonderfully detailed! The SS roundel retains 100%+ of its enamel and has a perfect fit! This piece has a beautiful blade you are sure to be happy with!
