A Transitional Model 1933 Hitlerjugend Fahrtenmesser by RZM M7/37 1938 – Robert Klaas of Solingen. A nice example! The ricassoed blade on this one looks nice! The double (kissing kranes) "Rbt. Klaas Solingen" / "RZM M7/27 1938" maker mark are dark, crisp and beautifully stamped! The tip comes to a perfect point and the fit is perfect! Just beautiful! The blade rates an easy Exc+/Exc++. It shows minor spotting and the common surface scratches/runner marks. The brown leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The steel based black painted scabbard looks excellent. It shows age spidering yet holds a nice finish with 99% paint coverage and remains completely dent free! The folded brown leather hanger is in wonderful condition. It shows minor age crazing yet retains all of its rivets and the snap continues to work very well! The steel based nickel-silver plated hilt retains 90%+ of its plated finish. The black bakelite checkered grip plates are in great shape, they show hand finishing to the belly and are secured by two aluminum rivets. The HJ diamond shows the odd scratch yet retains 99%+ of its enamel. Textbook!
