A Model 1933 Sturmabteilung Dienstdolch by B&A of Solingen. Ok, before I get into the description I need to explain a bit of history on this thing. These daggers were made up POST-WAR. They were made immediately following the war period and were an attempt by Solingen manufacturers to provide souvenirs for Vet's returning home. The blade on this one has age, stain and evidence of cleaning. The acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and "B & A Solingen" (Bolte & Anschutz) maker marks are nicely executed! The fit is nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point. The blade rates Exc. The aluminum crossguards are good! The brown plastic grip remains in excellent condition! No chips, cracks or splits! The aluminum eagle retains beautiful details. The SA roundel also has a perfect fit and retains 100% of its enamel. These were sold in the period without scabbards but someone has added an original RZM era scabbard. Shoot you guys this has to be a deal, I just saw someone selling fake RZM scabbards alone on Ebay a few weeks ago for $300 each! An interesting dagger!
