Early Gebr. Bohme Nachfl. SA Dagger

Please note this item is no longer available and you were redirected to our Archives.

An early model 1933 Sturmabteilung Dienstdolch by Gebr. Bohme Nachf of Brotterode. The blade has some age grey and evidence it's been cleaned. The fit is nice and tight, and the tip comes to a perfect point. The dark acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and "Gebr. Bohme Nachfl. Brotterode" maker mark are beautifully executed! The blade rates an Exc+. The brown anodized scabbard has wear and the finish is thinned. It remains completely dent free. You gotta love it. The solid nickel scabbard fittings are in great condition! The ball remains round. All four screws remaining intact! The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The solid nickel crossguards are also in great condition, matching the scabbard fittings in color and wear! The reverse of the lower crossguard is Gau stamped "Th" (Thuringen) which makes perfect sense as Brotterode is right next door. The grip / crossguard fits look great! The brown/red hardwood grip has a nice finish and a bit of a tiger stripe grain if you turn it just so in the light. There is a crack to the upper reverse. The solid nickel eagle is beautifully detailed and the left wing is sitting slightly proud on the wood. The SA roundel has good enamel and a perfect fit!
