Long Sawback Dress Bayonet by Eickhorn
A Sawback Long - An Extraseitengewehr by Carl Eickhorn of Solingen. The plated, 250mm long, single edged, fullered sawback blade on this one looks beautiful! The stamped “Original Eickhorn Solingen” maker mark is perfectly executed. It retains a nice bright mirror like finish. The spine teeth are nice and sharp, as expected. The fit remains tight and the tip comes to a perfect point! The blade rates a solid NM. It has typical surface scratches throughout. The black leather buffer pad remains intact. The steel based black enamel painted scabbard retains 98%+ paint coverage. It remains completely dent free. The throat assembly is intact. The steel based nickel plated hilt retains 10%+ plating coverage, not sure if this was polished off at one time? The black bakelite diamond grip plates are perfectly fit and are secured by two nickel rivets. It comes with a nice black leather frog. A good piece, available just for you today!
