Extra-Seitengewehr 98K mit Seitengewehrtasche. A nice extra cost feature with stag grips! The bright plated 200mm Eickhorn stamped blade with the later "over-the-shoulder" mark. It's in excellent condition with just normal light wear. The blade rates NM. There are just light runner marks but that's it. The leather buffer pad remains. The black enamel painted scabbard has some wee scratches and remains dent-free. 99.9% of the original paint remains intact. The original throat retaining screw remains intact and unturned. The scabbard fits the hilt perfectly! The nickel-plated alloy hilt has good plating and a fully functioning mortise button. There is a red wool felt plug in the mortise slot. The desirable multi-toned ersatz stag grips plates are well fit and secured with 2 plated steel rivets. Ersatz is a tern used meaning that a substitute material was used for the grip plates replacing the stag horn with in this case carved wood. They are in near perfect condition with no cracks or chips anywhere. Beautifully finishing this is a supple brown frog.
