Extraseitengewehr by Carl Eickhorn of Solingen. Here's a good example just in from an advanced collection. Blade is a plated example with no sharpening. It shows some scratches and the odd dot of age but that's it! The buffer is intact. Rates Exc++. It is correctly stamped with the early double oval Eickhorn maker mark. Scabbard has wear and crazing retaining 90% of paint and remaining dent-free. Perfect diamond grip plates are nicely fit without any damage and secured with unmessed with nickel rivets. No cracks or chips anywhere. The nickel plated hilt retains 99% of factory plating with a red wool plug in the mortise slot. A worn 1937 dated K98 frog is included.
