An Extraseitengewehr by Carl Eickhorn of Solingen. The 250mm long, single fuller, plated blade on this one looks excellent! The rare stamped triple oval "carl Eickhorn Solingen" maker mark is beautifully executed. The plating gives it a nice mirror like finish. The tip comes to a perfectly sharp point and the fit is nice and tight! There are a few dots of age/wear towards the tip. The leather buffer pad is lost to time. The steel based painted scabbard looks good. It shows surface oxidation and could use a good coat of shoe wax. It remains completely dent free! A throat retaining screw remains intact and the ball is perfectly round. The steel based, plated hilt looks good. The plating is retained at 97%. The black checkered bakelite grip plates are in near perfect condition. Both plates are tightly secured to the hilt with steel rivets. The button continues to work well. This comes with a crazed black frog. A great uncleaned example.
