Early SA Dagger by Paul Seilheimer

Please note this item is no longer available and you were redirected to our Archives.

An early model 1933 SA Dagger (Sturmabteilung Dienstdolch) by Paul Seilheimer of Solingen. The blade on this has age, stains and a nail catcher. The acid etched “Alles für Deutschland” motto and “PS Paul Seilheimer Solingen” maker mark are crisp. The fit remains nice and tight! This blade rates Exc/Exc+. The scabbard is steel based and brown anodized. It has a stain just below the reverse upper fitting. The solid nickel-silver scabbard fittings are all secured with original screws. The ball has taken some bumps but still presents ok. The scabbard / crossguard fit is near perfect and closes with a snap! The reverse of the lower crossguard is marked “Om” (Ostmark). The brown hardwood grip has a couple large flakes out of the lower reverse as well as some very small ones to the obverse. The solid nickel eagle is beautifully detailed and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel has a perfect fit and retains 99%+ of its enamel. Included is a well worn hanger.

Rating:    Exc+
