A Model 1933 Hitlerjugend Fahrtenmesser by RZM M7/60 -Gustav L. Koller, Solingen. The blade on this one has some age and evidence of use and sharpening. The tip has been slightly reshaped.. The “RZM M7/60” maker mark is dark, crisp and beautifully executed. It has a perfect fit. There is just a bit of roughness to the edge. The blade rates Exc. The original blackened leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The steel based black painted scabbard looks good. Most of the paint is gone and it shows wear. It remains dent free. The folded over blackened supple leather strap retains all of its rivets and the snap continues to work well! The hilt is constructed out of a zinc base that has been nickel-silver plated. The plating is 80%+ intact. The two black checkered grip plates are in near perfect condition and secured with two steel grip rivets. To the center obverse of the grip is a HJ diamond with perfect enamel. A nice example.
