Imperial era Fighting Knife by Eickhorn

German Imperial era Kampfmesser by Carl Eickhorn of Solingen. The 150mm blade on this one looks great. Nice crossgrain and a well executed maker mark. The fit remains nice and tight. Minor sharpening, age grey and the tip is slightly dulled. The scabbard is steel based and black painted. It continues to hold 75% paint coverage. It remains completely dent free. The brown leather hanger is in excellent condition. The snap continues to work well. The hilt is cast iron and plated. It has the typical “eagle head” and there is a drilled hole for what may be a faux push button. The black bakelite grip plates are in perfect condition and are tightly secured with two steel rivets. A great example!
