A rare piece! The blade on this one features a ricasso, single fuller and single edge. It has a nicely executed back-to-back dual squirrel “CE” maker mark. It measures 258mm long. It rates Exc+. It shows age grey, surface scratches, some nicks to the cutting edge and hits to the spine. The green felt buffer pad remains intact. The scabbard body is constructed out of a brown tanned leather, that has dual decorative lines to either side and is stitched to the back. It shows several scuffs throughout and a hole goes through it. It has two iron based, scalloped mounts. They are each marked “30” underneath the staples. The lower mount has a pressure mark and the top mount has three holes where the frog lug was removed. The crossguard, ferrule, pommel top and screw are all constructed out of an iron base. The grip is made out of a stag horn and has nice color tones. Overall it’s a unique piece by Eickhorn.
