Early NSKK Dagger by G. Felix Gloriawerk

Here we have an early Model 1933 NSKK Dagger (Nationalsozialistisches Kraftfahrkorps Dienstdolch) G. Felix Gloriawerk. The blade on this one has been cleaned removing some crossgrain and it's been sharpened slightly and well as is short 3mm, (that's the width of 3 dimes for my US friends. The acid etched "Alles für Deutschland" motto and "G. Felix Gloriawerk Solingen" maker mark are both visible and correctly executed. The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point! This dagger has never been apart. It shows the common surface scratches and minor age spotting throughout. The steel based, black scabbard looks good. It continues to remain completely dent free and holds 99%+ of its original period repainted finish with some age crazing. The solid nickel scabbard fittings look excellent. The ball retains its' round shape with some bruises and all four screws remain tightly intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The reverse of the lower crossguard is marked "Nm" (Nordmark). The brown hardwood grip looks good! There are the odd pressure marks and flakes and a wee hairline to the lower obverse. The patinaed solid nickel eagle retains beautiful details and has a perfect fit. The patinaed SA roundel has a perfect fit and retains 35%+ of its enamel. Finally yes, I realize the scabbard is inserted backwards in the last 3 pics. this was done deliberately to show you the matching patina. Apparently this is how the Vet's family kept this for the last 70yrs. Turn it around if you wish.
