A Very Rare, Textbook Construction, Earliest era Model 1933 Hitlerjugend Fahrtenmesser by Justus Brenger & Co., Justinuswerk of Solingen. This knife can accurately be dated to post-June 1933, pre-January 15, 1934. The early thin mottoed blade on this one looks excellent. The acid etched “Blut und Ehre!” motto is completely intact. The stamped “Justinus Solingen” maker mark is dark, crisp and beautifully executed. The tip comes to a perfect point and it continues to hold a nice and tight fit! The blade rates an Exc++. It has surface scratches and age grey/spotting throughout. As is typical with these Earliest era pieces, the buffer pad is missing. The steel based black enamel painted scabbard is in wonderful condition. It continues to hold 98%+ of its original paint coverage. Typical spidering throughout. Correct side, single runner. The brown scabbard leather remains in excellent condition as well. All of the rivets are intact and the button continues to work well. The iron-based nickel-silver plated hilt looks good. It appears to have been cleaned. The black bakelite checkered grip plates are in perfect shape. Both nickel-silver rivets remain intact tightly securing the hilt. The medium HJ diamond retains the majority of its enamel. This very early piece is in Textbook construction and has the correct die flaw.
