Miniature 1st Model (1934/35) Airforce Dagger (Luftwaffe Fliegerdolch) by Carl Eickhorn of Solingen. The plated blade on this one is minty. The acid etched Eickhorn mark is nicely executed! Both the fit and tip are perfect! The buffer pad is lost to time. The blue painted pebbled scabbard paint looks good, and still retains 99% coverage! The alloy scabbard fittings have patinaed. Notice the way they are stapled to the scabbard? This is typical of DLV's and transitional 1st Luft's. There is no chain. The airplane grey crossguard and pommel look awesome! The grip is celluloid over wood with ire wrap. It measures 9 1/2 inches tall. A great piece!
