Decent example from the Vet's family. The blade on this one lhas some sharpeneing and stain. The "RZM M7/40" / "Hartkopf & Co. Solingen" maker marks are all nicely executed! The fit continues to remain nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point. The blade rates Exc. It shows scratches and age grey throughout. If you peek to the obverse riccaso you will see the guys name etching in there. If you clean this it will be clearer. The original leather buffer remains intact. The steel based black enamel painted scabbard looks good. It continues to hold 80%+ of its original paint coverage. It remains completely dent free. The scabbard leather is in good condition. It shows age crazing throughout. It has all of its rivets intact and the snap continues to work well! The zinc based nickel-silver plated hilt retains 80%+ of its plating. Look to the back and the kid's name is there too, "G.Frohmuth". The obverse black bakelite checkered grip plate was chipped and I added some epoxy. Both steel rivets tightly secure the plates to the hilt. The large HJ diamond retains 99%+ of its enamel.
